We are excited to announce that the European Online Learning Environment (OLE) developed under the Lifelong Learning 5.0 (LL5.0) project is now live! The platform offers a permanent space for learning, information, and professional exchange for counsellors across Europe – and over 300 career guidance professionals have already registered.
Hosted on the ILIAS learning system and coordinated by Volkshochschulverband Baden-Württemberg, the platform serves as a dynamic hub for digital capacity-building and innovation in guidance services. It supports counsellors in adapting to the twin green and digital transitions and in better reaching disadvantaged groups such as migrants, NEETs, early school leavers, and low-skilled workers.
What does the platform offer?
- A WIKI on key aspects of guidance in digital environments
- A library of learning materials including studies, policy papers, videos, and presentations
- Best practice examples from across Europe
- An evaluated list of digital guidance tools (e.g. competence assessment, job search)
- Interactive webinars – at least 10 live sessions planned
- Forums and chat spaces to exchange with colleagues
- A built-in translation tool to boost multilingual and cross-border use
The platform not only enhances digital guidance capacity but also enables counsellors to critically reflect on the tools and methods they use – with a strong emphasis on user-friendliness, data security, and ethical considerations.
